Enjoy St. Stephen's Cathedral from this Vienna Rooftop Bar

Vienna is a beautiful city but it can get really crowded, especially during summer.

One of the most visited landmarks in Vienna is St. Stephen’s Cathedral. As you can see below, it’s hard to get a great picture from the grounds. It’s always really busy and it’s tough to get a shot of the entirety of this gorgeous Cathedral from down there. This is not the look we are going for:

To get a better view of this historic church head over a few minutes down the road to Steffl Sky Bar. This rooftop bar & restaurant is the perfect place for brunch, dinner and late night wine & snacks. They’re open daily from 10am to midnight.

I went for a nightcap and it was such a fun experience. The place is beautiful with music playing in the background and great vibes.

It was still very busy at 9pm on a Wednesday so, I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time and requesting to be seated outside on the patio as close to the Cathedral as possible – they have indoor and outdoor seating options – to get this view while dining:
